I am deeply honored to serve as Miami-Dade County Commissioner Roberto J. Gonzalez's appointee to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County Arts Board. This world-class institution is a cornerstone of Miami’s cultural landscape, and being part of its mission is truly inspiring.
This appointment is especially meaningful to me. As a staff member to then-Mayor Carlos Alvarez, I had the privilege of contributing to the administration that completed this iconic project. My connection to the Arsht Center runs even deeper: my father, Ralph L. Gazitua, served under the leadership of Chairman J. Ricky Arriola to help establish a deep community connection for the Center. Today, my brother Sean Gazitua proudly serves on the board alongside my dear friend Jorge Plasencia.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Adrienne Arsht herself for her generosity and kindness when she invited my daughter Cara Isabella to be her honored guest at the Arsht Center ball. This followed Cara’s special presentation at St. Philip’s Episcopal School, where she highlighted Adrienne’s immense contributions to our community in business and philanthropy. Cara truly felt like a princess that night, creating a memory she will cherish forever.

Serving on this board feels like a full-circle moment, uniting family, friendships, and a shared passion for arts and culture in Miami. I am truly blessed to be part of this incredible journey.

Thank you, Commissioner Gonzalez!
