Miami-Dade to Purchases up to 76 Catalyst E2 Electric Buses and Charging Systems from Gazitua Letelier, PA, client PROTERRA.

Proterra, a leading innovator in heavy-duty electric transportation, announced that Miami-Dade has agreed to purchase 33, 40-foot Proterra Catalyst® E2 electric buses with DuoPower drivetrain technology and up to 75 plug-in Proterra chargers. With 33 electric buses and charging systems, Miami-Dade represents the largest electric bus order on the East Coast.

Miami-Dade Seeking Project Proposals for a Transit System that Connects Downtown Miami and Miami Beach

The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (“DTPW”) is currently soliciting proposals from qualified Proposers to design, permit, construct/build, finance, manage, operate, and maintain a Rapid Mass Transit Solution (“Solution”) on the Beach Corridor Trunk Line of the County’s SMART Plan. The Solution is intended to connect the Downtown Miami/Overtown (Mainland) area to the City of Miami Beach.
