REGENT, the pioneer in electric seaglider manufacturing and a Gazitua and Ishoof client, has been making waves. Last week, they unveiled thefull-scale mock-upof its seaglider prototype. They also announced plans to expand its global headquarters to include up to 600,000 square feet of new manufacturing and test facilities to begin fulfilling $8 billion in commercial orders by mid-decade. This unveiling comes on the heels of their recent announcement of a strategic investment from defense Goliath Lockheed Martin Ventures.
Revolutionary REGENT Seaglider
REGENT Seagliders combine an airplane's speed with a boat's low operating cost. They are all-electric, zero-emission vehicles. Seagliders are uniquely suited to fill a need within the Department of Defense. With their low-cost, low-signature, and runway-independent design, they can carry passengers, cargo, or both.
Seagliders also have civilian applications, like logistics resupply, cargo transport, and search and rescue operations. Regent expects its first commercialViceroy seagliders, their 12-passenger version, to start operations by mid-decade, with Southern Airways/Mokulele Airlines receiving the first commercial passenger seagliders.

The investment from Lockheed Martin Ventures enables not only the construction of the recently announced manufacturing and testing facilities but also access to Lockheed’s world-class engineering talent, state-of-the-art technologies, and research.
