Mayor Suarez, who has been coined Twitter’s Mayor, has been in front of many crowds as of late, from national coverage of everything from cryptocurrency to COVID to Cuban unrest, but his Washington, DC debut made no less impact.
Gazitua is no stranger to responsibilities within the MavPAC, having chaired the Future40 Awards for several years now. His role this year also included introducing the panel for ‘The Future of Business and Politics’ which featured Mayor Suarez, business owner and developer, Alex Bhathal, and event moderator, business owner, and political advisor, AshLee Strong.

MavPAC was honored to have AshLee Strong as the event moderator for this years’ MAVCON. AshLee is the founder of Granite Peak Communications, a strategic public relations firm. She is a seasoned communications and policy professional who has spent a decade advising top officials in the U.S. Senate and House, as well as high profile campaigns, including a presidential race. Most recently, Strong served as a senior adviser and chief spokesperson for U.S. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

The Maverick PAC & Mavericks Conference
Maverick PAC, in their continued mission to elect business-oriented candidates for Congress, recently held its annual Mavericks Conference (MAVCON). A return to the event, the 2021 version of the MAVCON more than made up for the missed 2020 version. At the event, theFuture40 Awards, which honor 40 of the brightest conservative young professionals in business, government, and politics, were given out by Chairman Luis Andre Gazitua.
MAVCON is a chance for hundreds of conservative young professionals from around the country to meet. These businesspeople have a chance to engage with top leaders to discuss important policy and business-focused issues with the goal of creating a better tomorrow. MAVCON includes panel discussions from leading business executives, thought leaders, and elected officials.
