Gazitua Hosts #MiamiTech Month Kickoff

Luis Gazitua kicked off #MiamiTech Month with a two-day event featuring Mayor Francis Suarez, Bitcoin Mining King Chad Harris, and Texas Congressman Pete Sessions.

The event kicked off Friday, April 1st, with Luis Gazitua,Saif Ishoof, andAshley Becker– Global Managing Partner Tata Consultancy Services, hosting a discussion with Mayor Suarez about the future of crypto and crypto policy. Mayor Suarez addressed his efforts in promoting cryptocurrency and associated technologies in the City of Miami and throughout the United States.

The following day,Saif Ishoof, Gazitua Letelier’s Strategic Advisor and founder ofLab22, moderated a roundtable discussion featuring Whinstone U.S. Inc. CEO Chad Harris and Congressman Pete Sessions (TX-17). Both events were held at Chef Michael Beltran’s award-winning restaurant,Ariete, in Coconut Grove.

Referred to as the “King of Bitcoin Mining,” Whinstone Inc. CEOChad Harriswas recentlyfeaturedin Fortune magazine for leading his team in building one of the world's largest Bitcoin mining facilities.

Joining Mr. Harris, CongressmanPete Sessionssits on the House Financial Services Committee. He is also a member of the Subcommittee on National Security, International Development and Monetary Policy, and Task Force on Financial Technology.
